I have just had an accident and my car is a write off, will scrap this car safely dispose of it?
Yes, we certainly will come and pick up your car. In some cases we may even be able to offer you cash, depending on the parts we can recycle.

How quickly can you come and pick up my car?
On average we provide a 24 hour response time to any enquiries that come through.

How much is my scrap car worth?
We would have to assess your individual car in order to give you an accurate estimate. Please feel free to call us and we shall try our best to give you an estimate of the scrap car value, unseen.

Does Shine Motors have its own scrap car yard?
Yes, our main disposal area is located in Park Royal, London. Our agents may use alternative services.

What do I need to do before and after collection of my vehicle?
You should remove all personal contents from your vehicle and remove any tax disc that you might wish to claim back. You must send complete section 9 of the V5 document and send it to the DVLA within 14 days. Failure to do this may result in a fine. Our driver will complete the form with you. If you do not have a V5 our driver will give you our details and you have to notify the DVLA in writing.

I have lost the keys is it a problem?
No problem! – So long as you have proof of ownership and we have your consent our drivers are well equipped and trained to open your car.

My car has stood for a long time and may not move?
Not a problem, providing it still has wheels. It is unlikely that your car is worse than some of those we have encountered and we have never failed yet to remove a vehicle!

My car is not road worthy, but I intend to scrap it a few months time
If your car will not be driven and is off road you can contact the DVLA and make a SORN declaration, this will enable you to claim back your unused car tax.

Can I claim back my unused car tax?

What areas of the UK do you cover?
We cover the whole of London, Berkshire, Surrey, Hertfordshire and South Buckinghamshire.

What should I expect when I call or email?
We take your booking and then send your data to our local driver who will then call you to arrange a convenient time to collect your vehicle free of charge.

When are your phones lines open?
Our telephone lines are open 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 3pm on a Saturday.

How long before you can collect?
Although we are hectic particularly towards the end of the month we can usually arrange collections for the same day and always within 48 hours.

Do I have to be present on collection?
No, we can make arrangements for you to leave the keys and documents somewhere. We appreciate that sometimes your vehicle may not be in the same location as you.
